Fired clay bricks (BC)
Clay bricks (BC) are obtained by burning (950 - 1150°C) fusible clays.
The important physical and chemical properties of the clays used depend not only on the composition and structure of the clay, but also on the size and shape of its particles.
MIPROMALO now produces facing bricks and perforated as well as solid blocks for wall building. The products obtained comply with Indian standards:
TCNV 1450: for hollow bricks : 29×14×10cm (33/m2), 37.5×20×15cm (12.5/m2), 37.5×23.5×11.5cm (10/m2), 23.5×11.5×9cm (45/m2)
TCNV 1451: for solid bricks; 22×6×4cm (62/m2), 20×9×4cm (54/m2), 20×9×2cm (54/m2)
Raw materials: Fusible and combustible clay.
Processing: Mixing of clay, extrusion or moulding and firing between 950°C and 1150°C.
Quality control; Water absorption, compression, dimension.
