Subject to the the authority of a Unit Head, the Studies, Cooperation and Legal Affairs Unit shall be responsible for :

• developing, monitoring, implementing and assessing the Cooperation strategy;
• studies, forecasting and strategic planning;
• mobilising entrepreneurs, donors, researchers, engineers and technicians involved in innovation and entrepreneurship to invest in the local and innovative building material sector;
• legal expertise and managing litigation;
• drafting and reviewing agreements and contracts;
• studying and designing business projects on local and innovative material production;
• supporting innovative projects, decentralised local authorities as well as small and medium-sized enterprises using local and innovative material;
• development consolidation and maturation of project for the creation of industrial pilot production units and for the economic and professional valorisation of local and innovative building materials, in conjunction with the relevant departments;
• development, consolidation and maturation of projects in order to create incubators in the field of local and innovative building material, in conjunction with the relevant departments;
• participating in activities aimed at providing structures for the development of innovative projects.

(2) In addition to the Unit Head, it comprises three (03) Assistant Research Officers.
